Quick Stat Sheet
Bettas will grow about 2.5 inches in length. Now there are going to be larger ones as well as smaller ones. Overall care isnt hard, but remember the weekly water changes are a must. They will eat betta pellets and it is good for them. Do not feed them freezed dried foods everyday or peas. These foods will causes bowel problems for the bettas. They are mixed in aggession levels. Some are more aggressive whereas some are more mild. Thats why there is no set stocking rule when it comes to bettas and tankmates. Their average life span is about 1-2 years.  But you need to remember that most bettas at petstore are about 1-2 years old already, so with good care, they can live for a total of 4-5 years.  Sometimes more. The oldest betta i know of is about 9 years of age.

I cant stress this enough, please do not mix males and females together for breeding or keeping, unless you know what your doing. Bettas are easy to predict once you become an expert at them. Also i cant stress enough that just because a male builds a bubble nest, doesnt mean that he is ready for breeding or needs to breed. Its just a simple sign that says your doing something right.

Other than the simple stuff, that is it. Please see my other pages for more detailed info about those topics.
